My Story

Food has always played a large role in my family and we have been brought up in an environment where food and travelling were at the forefront of every school holiday.

Having both parents that love to cook, family meals were always a special part of growing up. It was a time to gather around the table and talk about our days – and that’s exactly what I want to encourage people to do. In a generation of screen-dominated, fast-paced living, make mealtimes a device-free zone and a time to celebrate the food and appreciate the company.

Not only have I been lucky enough to travel the world with my family, but also modelling from the age of 15 has enabled me to visit countries I might not have ordinarily have had top on my list. There is nothing quite like visiting a country and being immersed in the local culture and what better way to do that than experiment with the local cuisines.  Food is the universal language that brings everyone together. After getting my Economics degree at UCL, I modelled full time for 4 years, I then recently took part in the BBC1 show Britain's Best Home Cook which and now I am being trained at the world-renowned culinary school, Le cordon Bleu.

After nearly a decade in the modelling industry, travelling and gaining culinary experience from around the globe, I now want to share what’s most important to me with you guys. Gee So Simple is my way of expressing who I am, where I’ve been and the people who have impacted my life for the better. I want my journey to inspire you on your own food journey, to help you create moments to share and cherish those that matter most to you, wherever you are, wherever you go.

Buon appetito!

“Cooking is all about people. Food is maybe the only universal thing that really has the power to bring everyone together. No matter what culture, everywhere around the world, people eat together.”
