Porridge has got to be up there with one of the best and easiest breakfast meal. It’s deliciously creamy, super healthy, has endless variations, filling and also really cheap to make. This simple porridge recipe will ensure a super thick and creamy consistency which can be topped with anything. I use cashew or oat milk as it makes the oats even creamier, but feel free to use whatever milk you fancy – almond, coconut, cows etc. I also like to use jumbo oats, as I prefer the texture, but again use whatever you prefer. Top with my berry compote, fresh berries and almond butter.
The Recipe
Step 1
Simply add the ingredients into a sauce pan on a medium heat and constantly stir. Mixture should start to thicken up, allow it to cook for around 10mins until all the liquid has been absorbed and the oats are soft forming a thick and creamy porridge.
Step 2
Add more milk to acquire the desired consistency, I like my porridge super thick.
