This 3 ingredient jam rakes minutes to make and is the perfect porridge topper, or to load up on a slice of rye bread!
I am sure you are aware that normal jams you buy from the store are full and I mean TOTALLY FULL of sugar. Consuming high amounts of sugar in the morning causes your body to not only crave more sugar throughout the day, but also can cause a sugar crash a couple hours after and leave you feeling sluggish.
This is why this recipe is so great, because it literally takes minutes to make and also helps avoid those hidden refined sugars.
Depending on what is your favorite flavor jam you can substitute the fruit for whatever you want e.g. blueberries, strawberries etc. However, I love raspberry jam and peanut butter so that’s always the fruit I stick too.
The Recipe
Step 1
Heat the fruit in a saucepan on a medium heat for 3-5 mins until the juices started to come out.
Step 2
Stir in the maple syrup and mash with a fork until fully combined.
Step 3
Remove from the heat and stir in the chai seeds.
Step 4
The chai seeds will start to absorb the moisture and it will turn into a gel consistency
Step 5
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
