The Recipe
Step 1
Add the flour, salt, baking powder and whatever spice you are using (optional) into a bowl. Add the oil.
Step 2
Measure out 150ml of warm water. Add 3/4 the water to the flour and mix with a fork.
Step 3
Add the remaining water bit by bit and use your hands to bring the mixture together to form a dough. The mixture should form a smooth dough, you many need to add a little extra water here until it does. If your mixture becomes too sticky, simply add a touch extra flour.
Step 4
Knead the dough for a couple of mins. Pull off a golf ball size piece of dough and roll out on a floured surface. You want to roll it out fairly thin.
Step 5
Take a pan on a high heat, very lightly coat with oil (spray oil is great here). Cook for a couple mins each side until turns opaque and slightly golden. Once each wrap is cooked, wrap them together in a tea towel to ensure the stay warm and pliable.
INGREDIENTS
300g plain flour/strong bread flour
1 tbsp olive oil
Good pinch of salt
1 tsp baking powder (optional)
Whatever spice you want to add. If you are adding seeds you can be more generous, around 1 tbsp. For ground spices I would add 1-2 tsp.
